DHAKA, Dec 08, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner today transferred two deputy commissioners (DCs) to different divisions.

“The order will come into effect immediately,” according to the DMP notification.

The transfer order was signed by Commissioner of DMP Sheikh Sazzad Ali.

According to the notification, DC Md Abu Saim and DC Md Rezaul Karim have been appointed to Welfare and Force Division and Detective Branch (DB), Ramna Division as DCs.

Earlier, on December 4, the DMP has transferred 13 deputy commissioners to different divisions and 50 Officers-in-Charge (OCs) to different police stations ahead of the planned national elections in February.

Talking to BSS, Deputy Commissioner (media and public relations) of DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman said the major reshuffle in DC level police officers will ensure neutrality, proper duty execution, and a stable law-and-order situation during the national elections.

The interim government also appointed DCs in different administrative districts, Superintendents of Police (SPs) in 64 districts and 527 OCs through the newly introduced lottery system across the country, a home ministry official said.
