Prayers seeking recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia held at Harishava temple

BAGERHAT, Dec 8, 2025 (BSS) – A prayer session was held at the Kharmokhali Harisabha Temple in Chitalmari Upazila today seeking the recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The prayer was organized at 5 pm by the Chitalmari Upazila units of Bangladesh Hindu, Bouddha, Christian Kalyan Front and Puja Udyapan Front. 

Kashi Nath Bairagi,convener of the upazila unit of the Hindu, Bouddha, Christian Kalyan Front, chaired the event.

Member secretary of the Bagerhat district unit of the Front Shimul Chandra Roy, Anupam Saha, president of the Chitalmari unit of the Front, Sandeep Biswas, member secretary Kaushik Bairagi, president of the Harisabha Temple Committee Khokon Mondal and general secretary Sukumar Ghatak were present.

Special prayers were offered for the early recovery of Khaleda Zia. 

Temple priest Milon Bhattacharya said, “All religions teach the welfare of humanity, and from that spirit we prayed for the good health and long life of a responsible and devoted leader.”
