CTTC inaugurates 3-day workshop to enhance capacity in cybercrime investigation

DHAKA, June 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Cybercrime Investigation Division of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has organized three-day workshops to enhance capacity in cybercrime investigation and social media monitoring.

CTTC Chief Additional Commissioner of Police Md Masud Karim inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest at the CTTC conference room.

Deputy Police Commissioner of City-Cybercrime Investigation Division Md Shahjahan Hossain presided over the inaugural ceremony. 

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Masud Karim said that the knowledge gained through these workshops will play an important role in enhancing the cybercrime investigation capabilities of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The workshop that has begun today will continue till June 19. 

Around 40 police members and officers from the ranks of Constable to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, including representatives from DMP's IAD Division, DB-Cyber ??Division, and Women Support and Investigation Division, are participating in the workshop.

Through this CTTC workshop, participants will receive hands-on training on modern investigation techniques and digital evidence management. 

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police is committed to enhancing the technical skills of DMP police members to combat the threat of cybercrime.
