DHAKA, June 17, 2025 (BSS) - Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), continued its tree plantation programme by planting saplings in different districts across the country.

As part of a 15-day tree plantation campaign, announced by the central JCD in line with the directives of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, the student organization arranged programmes in various districts yesterday.

Saplings of different species of flowering, fruit-bearing, and medicinal plants were planted.

BNP leaders and activists are implementing the countrywide tree plantation campaign to protect the environment, following Tarique Rahman's vision of building a green Bangladesh.

Tarique Rahman issued a message on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, highlighting his vision and plans to prevent environmental pollution.

As part of the central programme, Barishal Polytechnic Institute JCD planted trees on its campus yesterday. The district JCD is also implementing tree plantation programmes in various upazilas, including educational institutions, roadsides, and riverbanks.

Similarly, Feni Government College JCD leader Zahed Hasan Rony organized a tree plantation drive on the college campus yesterday.
