DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS) - FactWatch, a Bangladesh-based independent fact-checking organization, has identified that a viral video claiming that BNP attacked a private hospital in Thakurgaon for not paying extortion which is actually an incident of Indian Hindu extremists.

According to a FactWatch investigation report, the same video was previously circulated on social media in April and May this year.

It was claimed that Bangladeshis who had gone to India for treatment were being brutally tortured by extremist Hindu terrorists in a hospital.

At that time, FactWatch also verified the video and published a report.

Recently, there has been an increase in the spread of fake videos, rumours and misleading news on social media. FactWatch claims that they are taking note of these issues, verifying them, presenting the truth and working to prevent rumours.
