Tanti League leader Saidul sent to jail in murder attempt case

DHAKA, August 1, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sent to jail Tanti League leader Saiful Islam alias Saidul, 32, in a case lodged over attempt to murder some people in the capital's Adabor area on January 3, 2025.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate GM Farhan Ishtiak passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to keep him behind bars till the end of probe in the case.

A team of Bangladesh Army on July 31 detained Saidul from the city's Adabor Shyamoli Housing Area.

According to the case documents, Saidul and his cohorts attacked Alamgir, Arif, and Moshiur Rahman Munna in Mehedibagh area under Adabor Police Station and hacked them indiscriminately, leaving them seriously injured on January 3, 2025.

The case was filed on January 4, 2025.
