125 students get bicycles in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 125 bicycles were distributed among meritorious students of 52 educational institutions in Sadar upazila today.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Mohsin Uddin distributed the bicycles as the chief guest at a function held at the Sadar Upazila Auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said the educated young generation can play a pivotal role in advancing the country. Bicycles are not just a mode of transportation for students, but also a significant support for their education, he added.

He urged the students to be more diligent in their studies and contribute to improving the overall quality of education in their respective institutions.

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Sakhawat Jamil Saikat presided over the function.

Among others, Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Bahar Mia, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Ali Jinnah, officials of the upazila administration, teachers, and guardians were present on the occasion.
