Pakistani HC calls on Jamaat Ameer

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his office in the capital's Bashundhara area today.

At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interests concerning Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Pakistan High Commission's Political Counsellor Kamran Dhangal was also present.

During the discussion, issues related to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed and both sides expressed hope that ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan would continue to grow stronger in the coming days.

Nayeb-e-Ameer and former Member of Parliament Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, Assistant Secretary General and Chief of Central Publicity & Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair and Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Jamaat Ameer Prof. Dr Mahmudul Hasan were also present during the meeting.
