DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today carried out multiple drives across the country following allegations of irregularities in the health, education, telecommunications, and agriculture sectors.

According to a press release, the ACC Gazipur Integrated District Office conducted a raid at Palash Upazila Health Complex in Narsingdi over complaints of harassment and service irregularities. Undercover monitoring revealed some doctors arriving late, while records on medicine supply and patient services were also reviewed and collected.

In Dhaka, an ACC team raided Digicon Telecommunication Ltd, Digicon Global Services Ltd, and Digicon Technologies PLC over charges of NID fraud and money laundering. Two of the companies were found to be non-existent, though Digicon Technologies and a call center remain operational.

The ACC Madaripur office investigated Government Shamsur Rahman College in Shariatpur's Gosairhat Upazila, where 2.47 acres of college land had been illegally mortgaged, and Taka 5.84 lakh withdrawn by a former principal remained unreturned. Initial findings confirmed the allegations.

Meanwhile, in Lalmonirhat, ACC Kurigram office conducted a two-day drive following complaints of overpricing and fertilizer shortages. Farmers reported harassment during purchase, while fertilizers were found stored outside designated union warehouses.
