DHAKA, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain today said domestic and international conspiracies continue to ruin democracy in the country. 

"Domestic and international conspiracies are ongoing against the establishment of democracy in the country," he said at a rally organized by the 12-party alliance.

The rally titled 'Resist the Rehabilitation of Awami Fascism and the Conspiracy to Foil the Election' was held in front of the National Press Club. 

Dr. Zahid said, "We will strengthen our unity, and we will pledge today to confront every conspiracy on the street together".

He urged the 12-party alliance leaders to stay beside his party in restoring democracy and build a new Bangladesh.

He said, "You (12-party alliance) were with us in the past movements to restore democracy, and you are still with us. So, we hope that, you will also stand by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to establish the Future Bangladesh."

Dr. Zahid said the framework of future Bangladesh is outlined in the BNP's 31-point programme. "The 31-point programme is the future roadmap for Bangladesh," he said.

He added: "How will be the future Bangladesh? What will be the healthcare system? How will be the rule of law? How will be the agricultural system? And, how the people's basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter will be met? Everything is determined in the 31-point programme". 

The BNP leader said his party is fighting to establish such a government on which people can trust and the government will run with everyone's participation. 

"That government will ensure good governance and the rule of law, where no innocent person will be punished while no offender will go free. We are fighting for this kind of social system, this kind of system- for which, the 12-party alliance is fighting, and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party is fighting," he added.

He called for forging a rock-solid unity so that the deposed fascism and its cronies can find no opportunity to enter Bangladesh through any crack or loophole.

Dr. Zahid said. "We will resist all conspiracies remaining on the streets in a united way."

12-party alliance chief and Chairman of Jatiya Party (Zafar) Mostofa Jamal Haider, the alliance's spokesperson and Chairman of Bangladesh LDP Shahadat Hossain Selim, its coordinator and Chairman of Bangladesh Jatiya Dal Syed Ehsanul Huda, Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh Mufti Golam Mohiuddin Ikram, Secretary General of Jatiya Party Ahsan Habib Linkon, Chairman of National Labor Party Lion Faruk Rahman, Chairman of Bangladesh Kallyan Party Shamsuddin Parvez, Secretary General of Islamic Party Abul Kashem, Secretary General of Islami Oikya Jote Abdul Karim, Chairman of United Liberal Party Aminul Islam, President of Noya Gonotantrik Dal MA Mannan, and Chairman of Progressive Nationalist Party (PNP) Firoz Md. Liton, among others, participated in the rally.
