DMP files 2,305 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,305 cases across the capital for violating traffic rules.

DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during the last one day on September 10 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued here today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

The release said the DMP traffic police dumped 363 motor vehicles and towed 56 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets for ensuring city dwellers’ easy movement.
