Charmonai Pir greets newly elected office bearers of DUCSU

DHAKA, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) – Amir of Islamic Andolan Bangladesh Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim (Charmonai Pir) has greeted the newly elected office bearers of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU).

In a congratulatory message here this afternoon, the ‘Charmonai Pir’ described the victory as the victory of Islam saying the election has created hopes and aspiration among the people about the upcoming national polls.

“The DUCSU elections’ victory will also have an impact on our national polls,” he said adding the eternal love for religion and the predominance of religion in leading life are the thousand-year-old tradition and culture of the people of Bangladesh.

He said the election has created a scope in the country for casting votes in a free, independent and impartial manner.   

Mufti Rezaul Karim said, “The country had been away from election culture for long . . . The young generation could not vote earlier. At this situation, the DUCSU polls have created the ray of hope among the people.”

For this, he sincerely thanked the Dhaka University authorities, the university students and the interim government for successfully holding the DUCSU polls.

The Charmonai Pir also congratulated all those who contested the election from different panels and independent capacity as well.
