Army-RAB raid nets four suspects in Geneva Camp

Dhaka, Oct 24, 2025 (BSS) - A joint overnight operation by the Bangladesh Army and the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Mohammadpur's Geneva Camp led to the arrest of four crime suspects and the seizure of firearms and drugs, said officials on Friday.

The detainees were identified as Abdullah Sarman ,31, Imran Hossain Alam ,28, Md. Sohel alias "Buniya Sohel" ,28, and Md. Akash ,25.

During the operation, security forces recovered a foreign-made pistol and around 1.5 kilograms of marijuana.

The drive, which began around midnight on Thursday and continued until early Friday, crackdown followed several violent clashes among three rival groups - led by Chua Selim, Picchi Raja, and Buniya Sohel - over territorial control inside the densely populated Geneva Camp.
