DINAJPUR, Oct 24, 2025 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain today said the fallen fascist Awami League (AL) destroyed the education system of the country during its regime.

"Teachers are the architects who build the nation. Yet, the fascist Awami League government compelled these respected teachers to commit heinous crimes like vote rigging. The entire education system of the country was destroyed by the fascist," Dr. Zahid told a view-exchange meeting with teachers and employees as the chief guest, held at the Hili Pilot School and College ground in Hakimpur Upazila in the district this afternoon.

Hili Pilot School and College Principal Golam Mostafa Kamal presided over the event.

Dr Zahid said, "Two things are enough to destroy a nation. One is culture, where people are constantly kept engaged with dancing, singing and serials. The other is destroying the education system. If this happens, no journalist, teacher, doctor or scientist will be created in this country; in other words, a meaningful nation will not be built."

"Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman was the one who first honored the MPO-enlisted teachers after 1972, he said, adding, "Therefore, if BNP is given the responsibility of running the country in the future, teachers and employees will certainly be honored."

Dr. Zahid assured BNP will strive to fulfill teachers' logical demands.

During the event, he urged all to vote for the 'Sheaf of Paddy' (Dhaner Shis) in the next election.
