PUNAK extends food aid to Gaza

DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - The Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK) has delivered food donations to the people of Gaza. 

Members of PUNAK made the contribution in two phases through Mastul Foundation by saving a portion of their own food to support the initiative, said a press release.

PUNAK has a long record of humanitarian work — from providing food during the COVID-19 lockdown to distributing winter clothes, medical aid, tube wells, raincoats for rickshaw pullers, cataract operations, and rickshaws for the education of war-wounded families’ daughters, it also said.

PUNAK President Afroza Helen expressed her gratitude to all members and Mastul Foundation, saying the effort reflects PUNAK’s unity, compassion, and continued commitment to humanitarian service.
