Tarique Rahman mourns death of Mofiz Ullah

DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS)  - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today expressed deep shock at the death of BNP Acting Chairman’s Human Rights Affairs Adviser Barrister Abu Sayem's father Md. Mofiz Ullah.

In a condolence message, Tarique Rahman prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and extended his sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Mofiz Ullah breathed his last at 9:00 am at United Hospital in Dhaka, where he was undergoing treatment.  He was 81 years old at the time of his death.

He had been suffering from various complications related to old age and heart disease for some time. He was receiving treatment at United Hospital for the past few days. He is survived by his wife, one son, two daughters, and numerous well-wishers.

The BNP Media Cell also expressed profound grief and offered deep condolences to the bereaved family in a separate condolence message.

In the message, Professor Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, Convener of the BNP Media Cell, and Shaheeduddin Chowdhury Annie, Member Secretary, said, "The late Md.

Mofiz Ullah was an honest, education-loving, and humanitarian person. May Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus (the highest paradise) and give strength to the grieving family members to endure this loss."

The late Mofiz Ullah was a former District Primary Education Officer in his professional life. His ancestral home is in Lakshminarayanpur village of Noakhali Sadar Upazila. He was a dedicated social worker and patron of education.
