NSTU Chhatra Dal committee formed

DHAKA, Oct 28, 2025 (BSS) - A new committee of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) has been announced.

M. Zahid Hasan, a student of the Agriculture Department from the 2013-14 session, was made the president and Hasibul Hasan Hasib, a student of the Fisheries and Marine Science Department from the 2021-22 session, was made general secretary of the the 60-member partial committee.

The announcement came through a press release signed by JCD central committee president Rakibul Islam Rakib and general secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir on Monday. 

The central leadership instructed the newly formed committee to establish a full-fledged NSTU Chhatra Dal committee within 30 days.

According to the release, the new committee includes one senior vice-president, 20 vice-presidents, one senior joint general secretary, 18 joint general secretaries, one organizing secretary, one office secretary, and 15 secretaries.

"It is not only our responsibility, it is also a sacred trust," said newly made president Zahid Hasan. "We will try our best to honor and uphold this trust."

NSTU general secretary Hasibul Hasan Hasib said the committee will maintain "zero tolerance" against extortion and all forms of corruption, pledging to work for transparency and integrity within the organization.
