DMP arrests 16 individuals in anti-crime drive at Mohammadpur

DHAKA, Oct 28, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Mohammadpur police station overnight arrested 16 individuals as part of a special anti-crime campaign under its jurisdiction.

Mohammadpur police station’s officer said that they netted the 16 people on charges of various crimes like mugging, drug trading and theft in their latest drive carried out by several teams.

According to a press release issued by DMP’s media and public relations division, the suspects were produced before a Dhaka court.

The arrested are Jasim (22), Arman (25), Chhoto (24), Azgar (28), Mithu (28), Risatul Haque Prantik (31), Riyad (21), Pavel (19), Palash (25), Amit (20), Suman (25), Adar (19), Rubel (27), Russell (28), Russell (27) and Manik (24), the release said. 

DMP’s media and public relations division said that the arrested include accused facing regular cases and involved in various crimes.
They were produced before the court.
