CTTC arrests BCL leader from city's Paltan area

DHAKA, Oct 28, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Counter Terrorism and 
Transnational Crime (CTTC) today arrested a leader of Bangladesh Chhatra 
League (BCL), the banned student wing of Awami League (AL), from the city's 
Paltan area.

The arrested was identified as Fahim Sardar, a vice-president of BCL in 
Ujirpur thana under Sholok Union of Barisal district.
 
Acting on secret information, a team of the CTTC conducted a raid on the 
ground floor of Karmasangsthan Bank under Paltan Police Station at about 
1:20pm and arrested Fahim, according to a DMP's media division press release.

He was accused of six cases, it said.

The process of handing over the arrested accused to the concerned police 
station is underway, the release added.
