DMP arrests 21 individuals in anti-crime drives at Mohammadpur

DHAKA, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested 21 individuals in its special anti-crime drives conducted in various crime-prone areas under Mohammadpur Police Station in the capital.

The overnight operations were carried out on Tuesday (October 28) under its jurisdiction, DMP's media and public relations division confirmed today.

According to Mohammadpur Police Station, they netted 21 people on charges of various crimes like mugging, drug trading and theft in their latest drives carried out by several teams.

The arrested are Mukaram Hossain Rudra, 25, Saiful Islam Pappu, 30, Sanwar, 30, Rahmatullah, 20, Kausar Bagha Jhantu, 30, Raihan, 25, Roni Shahadat, 38, Badsha Raju, 29, Sajeeb, 21, Iqbal Mehedi, 27, Moniruzzaman Rakib, 25, Maruf , 22, Hossain, 26, Sagar, 21, Sohil, 22, Sohag, 20, Ariful Islam, 19, Arman, 38, Sonju, 24, Saj, 23 and Rustom, 35. 

DMP's media and public relations division said that the arrested include accused facing regular cases and involved in various crimes.

They have been sent to a Dhaka court today, the sources added.
