Youth Policy Dialogue on July Charter implementation held at DU

DHAKA, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS)- A ‘Youth Policy Dialogue’ on the implementation of the July Charter today (Wednesday) at the Faculty of Social Sciences building of Dhaka University (DU).  

 The Applied Democracy Lab of Dhaka University organized the Youth Policy Dialogue.  

Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) and Acting Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, attended the event as the chief guest.

Professor Mohammad Ainul Islam, Director of the Applied Democracy Lab presided over the event.

National Consensus Commission member Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, constitutional expert Dr. Sumit Bisaryaspoke at the event.

DU Social Sciences faculty dean Prof. Tayebur Rahman,North South University’s Department of Political ScienceProf. Mahbubur Rahmanjoined the dialogue as discussants.

Speaking as the chief guest, Prof. Sayema Haque Bidisha said the participation of young people in the July Movement played a significant role in bringing about political change in the country. 

“I urged the youth to engage actively in reform initiatives and policymaking processes,” she added. 

Over a hundred students from Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, and Jahangirnagar University—including representatives of DUCSU, RUCSU, CUCSU, and JUCSU—took part in the discussion
