DHAKA, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today strides to maintain vehicular movement normal on the city streets as multiple organizations launch separate programs, resulting in severe traffic congestion, causing disruptions of road communications and bringing widespread public suffering, an official release said.

Groups gather in front of the National Press Club to seek MPO registration for non-MPO educational institutions.

Protests also started across various city streets, demanding the recognition of schools for persons with disabilities, employment opportunities for job-seeking disabled graduates, and the inclusion of non-cadre candidates from the 43rd BCS examination.

The simultaneous protests at different city points brought vehicular movement to a crawl, with long tailbacks reported in several major thoroughfares, a DMP statement said.

Despite the disruptions, the DMP said officers are working tirelessly to manage traffic and minimize public inconvenience.

"Despite numerous challenges, our efforts to maintain normal traffic flow continue," the statement added.

The DMP has expressed sincere regret for the temporary hardship caused by the "unforeseen circumstances."
