Govt prioritises women's development in all sectors: Mass Communication DG

KHULNA, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) - Mass Communication Department Director General (current charge) Md. Abdul Jalil today said the government is giving special importance to women's development in all sectors.

He made the remarks while addressing a yard meeting on the project 'Awareness Campaign on Child, Adolescent and Women Development' at the residence of Pradip Kumar Roy in Batiaghata upazila in the district. 

The project is being implemented under the GOB-funded programme for fiscal 2025-26 by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Abdul Jalil also urged parents to ensure proper education for their children and highlighted the importance of the ongoing typhoid vaccination campaign for children aged nine months to fifteen years.

Local officials and women participated in the event.
 
Later, he visited the Khulna Divisional District Information Office and inspected the proposed site of the modern Information Complex at Noornagar.
