DHAKA, Nov 3, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested six more leaders and activists of the Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital city for participating in flash processions in the last 24 hours.

The arrested have been identified as Dhaka North City Krishak League Vice President Md. Mazharul Islam Sohel Fakir (38), Chhatra League active worker Md. Nahid Hasan Shaon (23), Gazipur District's Sreepur Upazila Sramik League General Secretary Mahbub Alam alias Liton Fakir (42), Chandpur district Jubo League co-organizing secretary and Shahranti upazila Jubo League member Md. Nizam Uddin Kiron (43), Pirojpur district Kumarkhali Union Chhatra League vice-president Md. Riyad Matubbar (31) and Chhatra League Barisal Metropolitan Convener Committee member Sirajul Islam Rakib (28).

They were arrested Pallabi, Jatrabari, Uttara Purba, Moghbazar, Kadamtali Police Station and Badda areas on Sunday, a police press release said.
