4 children missing from Sylhet rescued in city hotel

DHAKA, Nov 3, 2025 (BSS) - Police on Sunday rescued four children missing from Sylhet from a hotel in the capital city.

The rescued children are: Tanim Ahmed (12), Abdul Hakim (12), Tamim (12) and Suhin Mia (13).

Based on a request from the Airport Police Station of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), a team from Shahjahanpur Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a raid on a hotel in Railway Colony at approximately 05:30 pm and rescued the children, said a police press release.

The children said that they lost their way after taking a train from Sylhet to Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station. After that, they were working as hotel boys in the hotel for the past six days.

After the rescue, the children were handed over to the Airport Police Station of SMP to ensure their safety and return them to their real guardians.
