DHAKA, Nov 3, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Police today promoted 273 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) from various units to the rank of Inspector, according to a Police Headquarters circular.

The Police Headquarters issued three separate gazette notifications signed by Afrida Rubaiyat, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in this regard here in the city.

According to the notifications, Inspector General of Police (IGP) has given the promotion of 273 SIs to the rank of inspector from unarmed SIs, armed SIs and traffic sergeants.

It said that a total of 148 unarmed SIs, 97 armed SIs and 28 city and traffic sergeants were promoted to the rank of Inspector.

The order issued for the public interest will come to effect immediately.
