DB nabs 7 more AL leaders in ongoing crackdown in city

DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested seven more leaders and activists of the Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from various parts of Dhaka over the past 24 hours.

According to police sources, the arrests were made during separate raids across the capital as part of an ongoing operation against AL men accused of organizing sudden processions aimed at disrupting law and order.

Deputy Commissioner of DB of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed their arrests.

The detainees are expected to be produced before the court later today.
