NCP forms central election steering committee for national polls

DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) - The National Citizen Party (NCP) has formed a Central Election Steering Committee to oversee its overall preparation and participation in the upcoming 2026 national election. 

NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari has been named as the head of the committee, while Dr. Tasnim Jara will serve as its secretary, said a press release signed by NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhter Hossain.

The committee will coordinate activities related to candidate selection, field-level organization, legal and administrative affairs, media and publicity, as well as training and monitoring.

The committee members include Ariful Islam Adib, Mahbub Alam Mahir, Khaled Saifullah, Ehtesham Haque, Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, Alauddin Mohammad, Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa, Advocate Humayra Noor, Saifullah Haidar, and Advocate Md. Tarikul Islam.
