Over 48,000 police members complete training for February polls

DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 48,134 police personnel have completed electoral training as part of preparations for the upcoming National Election scheduled for February.

In a statement issued today, the Police Headquarters confirmed the development, reiterating its commitment to maintaining a secure, peaceful, and well-organized electoral environment.

According to the statement, the police plan to train more than 1.5 lakh members nationwide to ensure a free, fair and peaceful voting process.

The Human Resource Department of the Police Headquarters has designed nine training modules, two documentaries and a detailed booklet to guide officers on election duties.

More than 1,200 master trainers are conducting the sessions across 134 police training centres throughout the country.

Officials said the comprehensive programme is aimed at equipping officers with the skills and preparedness required to handle any law and order situation during the polls.
