DINAJPUR, Nov 03, 2025 (BSS) – BNP leaders and activists brought out a joyous procession in Dinajpur Sadar after the declaration of the name of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia as the candidate for the Dinajpur Sadar-3 constituency.

After the announcement of Begum Khaleda Zia’s name as a candidate for the parliamentary elections in Dinajpur Sadar-3 constituency on Monday night, there was joy and excitement among all sections of people, including BNP leaders, activists, and supporters.

Former president of the district unit of Chhatra Dal, Mustafa Kamal Milon, said that for the last 15 and a half years, BNP and its affiliated organizations could not live properly in their homes due to false cases.

He said, “I was fed up with the oppression, torture, and atrocities of the fascist Awami League on BNP leaders and activists. There has been no visible development in this district. Khaleda Zia is the daughter of Dinajpur. Today, the common people are happy and overwhelmed with joy after the announcement of Begum Khaleda Zia as a candidate.”

District BNP President Advocate Md. Mofazzal Hossain Dulal said, “I welcome the fact that Begum Khaleda Zia has become a candidate for the Dinajpur Sadar constituency. This is good news for the people of Dinajpur after a long time.”

A large number of leaders, activists, supporters, and common people were seen participating in the joyous procession.
