BNP expels its four upazila leaders in Sitakunda

DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) – BNP has expelled its four Sitakunda upzila leaders on charge of resorting to violence over party nomination.

The party confirmed it in a release signed by its senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi here today.

Sitakunda upazila Swechchhasebak Dal president Alauddin Moni, general secretary Helal Uddin Babar, Sitakunda Pourashava convener Mamun and Jubo Dal Sonaichari unit general secretary Momin Uddin Mintu have been expelled from all posts, including the party’s primary membership.

As these leaders were involved in various activities against the public interest including violence and road blockade at Kadamrasul, Bhatiari Bazar, Jalil gate on Dhaka-Chattogram highway after Monday afternoon over the party nomination, according to the release.
