BNP postpones nomination for Madaripur-1 constituency

DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has postponed the announcement of its nomination for the Madaripur-1 constituency.

A press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed the postponement today.

On November 3, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the names of the party's nominees for 237 parliamentary seats ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election at a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan.

During the announcement, Kamal Zaman Mollah was declared as the party's candidate for Madaripur-1 (Shibchar Upazila).

However, due to unavoidable circumstances, the nomination announcement for Madaripur-1 has been postponed, the press release added.
