BNP always gives importance to religious education: Dr Zahid

DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Prof. Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain today said the party has always given importance to religious education.

He made the remark while addressing a views-exchange meeting with imams, muezzins, and Qawmi madrasah teachers at Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur. 

The programme was organized by the C&F Agents Association of Hili Land Port on behalf of BNP.

Dr Zahid said religious education guides people toward justice, morality, and humanity, and the party encourages all forms of religious learning. 

He urged religious scholars and madrasah teachers to take a leading role in building a moral society, adding that BNP has always supported them and will continue to do so.

Upazila BNP President Ferdous Rahman, General Secretary Sakhawat Hossain, Joint General Secretary S M Reza Bipul, Acting Municipal BNP President Farid Khan, and General Secretary Nazmul Haque were present at the event.
 
The meeting was also attended by over a hundred imams, muezzins and madrasah teachers.
