DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today carried out several enforcement drives in Madaripur, Gopalganj, Dhaka and Bogura following allegations of irregularities and corruption in government development projects and service sectors.

An ACC team from the Madaripur integrated district office conducted a drive at flood shelter projects in Rajoir and Sadar upazilas amid allegations of poor-quality construction and misuse of materials.

Primary evidence of irregularities was found at the Malek Mia Memorial High School flood shelter project.

Another team from the Gopalganj district office inspected the Kashiani Upazila Health Complex after complaints of harassment and irregularities in service delivery.

The team found inconsistencies in records, unclean toilets and absenteeism among doctors and staff.

A separate drive was carried out from the ACC head office at the Bangladesh Girl Guides Association over allegations of fund misappropriation and corruption.

The team collected documents and statements from officials for further review.

In Bogura's Dhunat upazila, the ACC conducted a drive following allegations of misappropriating several crore taka by showing fake projects under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) and revenue funds.

Relevant records were collected from the offices of the Upazila Engineer and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.

According to ACC sources, the drives aimed to ensure transparency in the use of public funds and to take effective measures in preventing corruption in the public interest.
