LAKSHMIPUR, Nov 05, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee today said Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is working relentlessly to build a new Bangladesh.

“Tarique Rahman is working tirelessly to build a new Bangladesh. We will keep the flag of the Paddy Sheaf, the electoral symbol of BNP, flying high in the next election under the leadership of Tarique Rahman,” he said.

Anee said these while addressing a religious programme of Hindu Community at Sree Sree Rada Gobinda Seba Ashrom in Sadar upazila of the district.

He said that Tarique Rahman's hand must be strengthened from now on for the purpose of victory in the next polls.  BNP is the party of common people and its founder Ziaur Rahman was the leader of commoners, he added

He said, “Despite the brutal torture on former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, and being kept in prison on false and fabricated cases, she did not leave you and flee the country. BNP is moving forward with the morale and courage of Begum Khaleda Zia, he added.

He urged everyone to strengthen the hand of the Begum Khaleda Zia.

Anee said there are no fascism, authoritarianism, occupation and revenge in BNP's politics. BNP has always worked by maintaining communal harmony and will continue to do so in the future, he added.

He said if someone commits any wrongdoings using name of BNP, he or she will have no place in the party.

Radha Govinda Seva Ashram President Nantu Karmakar chaired the programme while district BNP leader Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan and District Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikkyo Parishad General Secretary Shimul Saha, among others, were present.
