DHAKA, Nov 5, 2025 (BSS) – Ganasanghati Andolan (GSA) will organize a rally and a meeting in the Shahbagh area of the capital on November 14 to mark its 10th founding anniversary.

The program will begin at 3 pm in front of the National Museum, the party announced at a press conference at its central office in Hatirpool today. Executive Coordinator Abul Hasan Rubel also introduced the newly elected 55-member central committee and named potential candidates for the 13th parliamentary elections.

During the briefing, GSA Chief Coordinator Zonayed Saki said elections are indispensable in Bangladesh’s political landscape and essential for implementing state reforms. He added that the party will contest under its own symbol, while other parties should have the flexibility to use alliance symbols.

He criticized the amended RPO for increasing deposits, saying it makes the election process financially burdensome and creates obstacles for less affluent candidates.

Saki noted that the historic Mass Uprising of 2024 has renewed the call for national reconstruction, requiring a broad national consensus for democratic transformation and the establishment of a new political, economic, social, and cultural order.

Leaders of the party’s political council, central executive committee, and advisory and consultative councils were present at the press briefing.
