DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS)- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has condemned a false and malicious rumor circulating on the social media, titled “India occupies 62 kilometers in Lalmonirhat,” calling it a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and undermine the national security.

In a statement, the BGB clarified that the claim is entirely fabricated and part of a broader anti-state effort to create confusion and damage the country’s image.

The force reaffirmed that every inch of Bangladesh’s border, including the region of Lalmonirhat, is securely under the BGB’s control.

The BGB emphasized the unwavering dedication of its personnel, who are driven by patriotism and professionalism, ensuring the safety and integrity of the nation’s borders.

The force also urged the public to remain cautious on unverified information in the social media and refrain from spreading rumours without proper verification.

BGB’s statement serves as a strong reminder to remain vigilant against misinformation and prioritize facts over any sensational claim.
