DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) - Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Ajit Singh today met with the leaders of National Citizen Party (NCP) today, discussing progress toward a peaceful and participatory democratic transition in Bangladesh.

The meeting reflects Canada's longstanding commitment to supporting free, fair, and participatory elections in Bangladesh, said the Canadian high commission here. 

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on the current political landscape. 

The Canadian High Commission reaffirmed that Canada remains a trusted partner of Bangladesh in promoting democratic governance, inclusive development, and mutual understanding between the two nations.
