DMP files 1749 cases drive against traffic rules violation

DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) – The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1749 cases against motor vehicles and drivers for violating traffic rules in the capital during the last one day.

The DMP has been conducting campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bring traffic system under proper management, according to DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division statement.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman issued the statement here today.

It said that 380 motor vehicles were dumped and 125 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation during the traffic campaign against traffic rules violators on November 5
The DMP release said that several traffic divisions conducted the campaign against traffic violators in the capital.

It, further said that Motijheel traffic division filed 371 cases, Wari division registered 127 cases, Tejgaon division filed 237 cases, Mirpur division filed 198 cases, Gulshan division filed 238 cases, Uttara division registered 241 cases, Ramna division filed 99 cases and Lalbagh division registered 193 cases against motor vehicles as well as three wheelers and motorcycles, it said.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under discipline on Dhaka's streets and ensure smooth for easy movement.
