PABNA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) – With a frantic effort, fire service of Rooppur Green City brought fire under control in an abandoned wood pile near Padma River at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in Ishwardi, in the district , official said.
“The fire broke out in the abandoned wood pile around 12:30 pm. Since there is a fire service station just 300 yards away from the plant, a unit quickly reached at the spot and started extinguishing the fire,” senior station master of Rooppur Green City Fire station Abul Hashem said.
He said the fire was brought under control within 40 minutes after the incident.
Hashem, said the cause of fire at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant could not be known immediately.
