DHAKA, Nov 9, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar today called upon the government to accept the logical demands of government primary school teachers and resolve the ongoing crisis through dialogue.

In a statement issued today, he expressed dissatisfaction over the reported police action against teachers who have been staging demonstrations to press home their three-point demand, including an upgrade of their pay scale to grade 10.

“The government has a responsibility to consider the three-point demand of primary school teachers with sympathy and accept it on logical grounds to end the ongoing movement,” Parwar said.

He expressed concern over the teachers’ announcement of an indefinite work stoppage, saying it has created anxiety among students, parents, and the entire nation.

“Annual examinations are about to begin. If the education system comes to a standstill at this time, the soft-hearted students will suffer the most. The loss of education is an irreparable loss for any nation, and this fact should also be taken into consideration by the respected teachers,” he added.

Calling upon the government to move away from a hardline stance, Parwar urged it to address the three-point demand of government primary school teachers through dialogue and empathy.

He also appealed for immediate measures to end the teachers’ movement and bring them back to the classroom.
