Gazipur police commissioner Nazmul Karim Khan suspended

DHAKA, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - The government has suspended Police Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Dr. Md. Nazmul Karim Khan in the public interest.

The decision was made under Section 39(1) of the Government Services Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018).

According to an official order issued today by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Dr. Nazmul Karim Khan (BP-6995109824), who had earlier been withdrawn from his duties at GMP and attached to the Police Headquarters, will now remain attached to the Ministry of Home Affairs during the period of suspension.

During this time, he will be entitled to receive a subsistence allowance as per the government rules.

The official order, issued "in the public interest," was signed by Senior Secretary Nasimul Ghani on behalf of the President.
