DHAKA, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) — Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stood by a cancer-stricken mother and her crippled son after a private television channel recently aired a report titled “Son is becoming crippled, mother has cancer.”

After the report came to his attention, Tarique Rahman — who also serves as the main sponsor of ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ — directed the organization to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the condition of the helpless family.

In continuation of this directive, a delegation from ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ visited the affected family at a hospital in Panthapath, Dhaka, this morning.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the family under the leadership of convener of the ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ Atiqur Rahman Rumon, and medical assistance was provided to them.

The convener also conveyed Tarique Rahman’s message of sympathy to the family and reaffirmed the BNP Acting Chairman’s commitment to standing beside them during this difficult time.

The initiative reflects the BNP Acting Chairman’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes and his call for party leaders and activists to extend their support to those in distress across the country.

‘Amra BNP Paribar’ Adviser Engineer Mostafa-e-Zaman Selim, Member Secretary Agriculturist Mokchedul Momin Mithun, and members Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Farhad Ali Sajeeb, and Shahadat Hossain.

Jatiatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Central Joint Secretary Hasnain Nahian Sajeeb, former BUET Chhatra Dal General Secretary Engineer Abu Hanif, Chhatra Dal Central Information and Research Secretary Mahmud Islam Kajal, Mirpur Thana BNP leader Shakil Ahmed, Banani Thana BNP leader Sayham Sikandar Pappu, and Chhatra Dal leaders Mashiur Rahman and Abdullah Al Misbah, among others, were also present.
