DHAKA, Nov 12, 2025 (BSS) - Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) brought out a torch procession in the capital this evening protesting the countrywide anarchy carried out by the ousted leaders and activists of the fascist Awami league.

Rampura Thana unit of Ganodhikar Parishad (GOP) organized the protest which was joined by local leaders and activists at the Rampura area in the capital.

Addressing a brief rally after the procession, Abu Hanif, a member of the party's higher council and media coordinator, said the banned Awami League has been carrying out secret attacks in different parts of the country, killing innocent people.

He said the people themselves now possess enough strength to resist such acts of violence.

Hanif added that even after being ousted from power through the July Uprising, associates of the Awami League are still attempting to disrupt the electoral process. "Through these acts of arson and violence, the banned Awami League is only narrowing its own path of return," he said.

GOP central leader Shafiqul Islam Ratan, Dhaka North City General Secretary Muhammad Abdur Rahim, Vice Presidents Rakibul Hasan and Apurba Alamgir, Joint General Secretary Imran Hasan, and Vice President of Chhatra Odhikar Parishad Sabbir, among others, were also present on the occasion.
