DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar today said the nation has decisively rejected those involved in terrorism, looting, genocide, and killings, making it impossible for them to return in the country’s politics.

“Over the past few days, the fascist Awami elements have been spreading chaos and terror across the country. But the nation has resisted them. The killers and looters can no longer stand on this soil,” he said.

Golam Parwar was addressing a press conference at the party’s central office in Moghbazar, organized to protest the recent incidents of violence and vandalism allegedly carried out by Awami League activists and their allies.

Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, central executive committee member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Dhaka South City Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, Dhaka North City Nayeb-e-Ameer Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, Dhaka North Secretary Dr. Rezaul Karim and Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair were also present at the press conference.

Golam Parwar expressed deep concern over the threats made by Sheikh Hasina from India. “We are astonished to see her issuing threats to Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser and others from abroad. Those who committed crimes and injustices will never be accepted by the nation again,” he said.

Referring to the ongoing political situation, he mentioned that Jamaat and seven other parties have announced programs demanding the implementation of their five-point agenda.

“In protest against the Awami League’s acts of sabotage, we are holding rallies and demonstrations across the country today. Despite their attempts to create panic through arson, vandalism, and attacks on vehicles and establishments, we, together with the people, have stood firm against such violence,” said Parwar.

Parwar welcomed the announcement of the verdict date in the cases filed against Sheikh Hasina.

Leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami brought out demonstration in various parts of the capital, including Paltan, Gulistan, Zero Point, Press Club, the north gate of Baitul Mukarram Mosque, Science Lab, Jatrabari, Dhanmondi 32, Mirpur 10 and 11, Amin Bazar, Moghbazar, Vatara, Rampura, Khilkhet, Mohakhali, Mohammadpur, Uttara, Malibagh, and Banglamotor.
