DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - In a day-long special operation, Mohammadpur Police have arrested 17 individuals involved in various criminal activities across the Mohammadpur area of the capital in the last 24 hours.

The detainees have been identified as Sohag (19), Naeem (21), Naser Ahmed Suman (48), Mubarak (21), Shahriar Alam Nafis (18), Sohag Hawaldar (34), Qorban (30), Akash (19), Shefali (40), Maryam (21), Nayan (24), Emon alias Kana Emon (20), Bini Yamin Piyas (26), Shamim (30), Abdur Razzak (30), Abdul Hamid (60), and Abdur Rahman (45).

During the operation, law enforcement officials recovered 50 grams of heroin, 100 grams of marijuana, two handmade cocktails, and a child victim rescued under the Human Trafficking Act.

According to sources at Mohammadpur Police Station, the operation was carried out throughout Wednesday, targeting individuals with pending warrants and those accused in ongoing cases.

Police officials stated that such special operations will continue in the area to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
