DMP files 2,268 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,268 cases across the capital for violations of traffic rules.

The DMP Traffic Division filed these cases on November 12 during a regular drive against traffic rule violators, according to a press release issued today.

It said that DMP traffic police dumped 534 motor vehicles and towed 88 vehicles during the campaign.

The DMP release further said that such drives against traffic rule violators will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.

Motijheel Traffic Division filed 459 cases, Wari Division registered 173, Tejgaon Division filed 291, Mirpur Division 325, Gulshan Division 266, Uttara Division 293, Ramna Division 141, and Lalbagh Division registered 230 cases against motor vehicles, three-wheelers, and motorcycles, the press release added.
