DHAKA, Nov 14, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman and chief of the "Amra BNP Poribar", Tarique Rahman, has stood by the family of Naznin, a disabled girl in the Shailkupa Upazila of Jhenaidah, by providing assistance for her medical treatment.

Naznin is the daughter of Nasir Mondol, a day labourer engaged in agriculture.

The distressed family resides in Anandnagar village, under Tribeni Union of Shailkupa Upazila, Jhenaidah.

A delegation from the 'Amra BNP Paribar' visited the family today.

The humanitarian visit was headed by BNP Central Treasurer and 'Amra BNP Paribar' Adviser M Rashiduzzaman Millat.

During the visit, the BNP Treasurer handed over the medical assistance to Naznin's father, Nasir Mondol, on behalf of Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

M Rashiduzzaman Millat also conveyed Tarique Rahman's message of sympathy to the helpless Nasir Mondol's family.

Naznin, who is currently 18 years old, has been kept chained inside her house for 13 years due to her illness. Her family was unable to provide treatment due to a lack of funds.

Naznin's brother, Jobayer, is also mentally disabled. The parents, day labourer Nasir Mondol and Bulbul Begum, are spending their days in destitution with their two children.
