Sirajganj's century-old model madrasa renovation to begin next month: Tuku

SIRAJGANJ, 14 Nov, 2025 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member and former minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tuku today said the century-old madrasa under the Sirajganj Central Jame Mosque has been revived and renamed as the 'Central Jame Mosque Model Madrasa' and the construction of a new multi-storied building for the madrasa will begin within the next month.

Speaking before Jum'ah prayers today, Tuku also said renovation work including a new main gate and security gate has already started.

Mosque Committee Senior Vice President Md. Saidur Rahman Bacchu along with local BNP leaders and community representatives were present during the event. 

A special prayer was held after Jum'ah seeking peace and prosperity for the nation.
