DHAKA, Nov 14, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested 1,677 crime suspects from different parts of the country within the past 24 hours, according to a statement issued by Police Headquarters today.

Of those detained, 906 individuals were wanted for previous cases or had outstanding warrants, while 771 others were apprehended on new criminal charges.

During the drive, law enforcement officials seized a variety of weapons and ammunition, including one locally-made gun, three "one-shooter" guns, a 22-bore revolver, three cartridges, nine rounds of ammunition, a "ramda", a Burmese knife and several other locally-manufactured sharpened weapons.
